Motivational Speaking

Do you want a speaker who will hold the room rapt and leave it inspired? A speaker who gives tips and advice that can be put into practice immediately?

I’ve 20 years’ experience working with young people across a wide cross-section of society – high schools, primary schools, youth centres, PRUs, NEET organisations, young offender institutions and refugee communities.

My talks are fast-moving, entertaining, and packed full of practical strategies and real-life examples. And most importantly, they are personalised to whatever audience you have in mind.

Topics I cover include:

  • ‘Getting what you want with what you already have’

  • ‘What I want to be’

  • Building community (addressing issues of race, class and poverty).

Kenny worked fantastically with the students. His introductory games put the students at ease and encouraged creativity from the outset. He worked well with the group, drawing out ideas based on the local area so that the students became the experts, giving Kenny the information and vocabulary to include in their raps. The fact that every student had a rap by the end, based on their own experiences and hometown, using and recognising language features such as rhyme and metaphor, provided a way of exploring language use that can be developed when studying poetry. This was finalised with an emphasis on the importance of drafting and redrafting – another vital skill.

All in all, a fantastic experience enjoyed by all the students.
